The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house which has a combined gross household income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family money doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any click here of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
